This project involves the execution of roadway excavation, gravelling, and related structural works along the Diktel–Khotang Bazar Road in Khotang District. The primary objective is to improve road geometry, strengthen the pavement structure, and enhance all-weather connectivity for local communities.
The scope of work includes earthwork operations such as clearing, cutting, filling, and compaction to achieve the designed road formation level. Gravelling works involve placement of approved granular material as sub-base and base layers to provide a stable and durable road foundation. Structural works include construction of retaining walls, breast walls, culverts, drainage channels, and slope stabilization measures where required to support the roadway and protect it from erosion and water-related damage.
The project aims to ensure safe and reliable road transport, improve accessibility to markets and services, reduce travel time, and contribute to socio-economic development in the Khotang District region.
