This project involves the upgrading of the Mechi Rajmarga section connecting Bangadangi, Uttar Sita Gadhi, Baluwadi, and Haldibari. The works are focused on improving the road’s structural capacity, riding quality, and all-weather usability.
The scope of the project includes **roadway widening and formation improvement**, **strengthening of pavement layers**, **construction of cross-drainage and side drainage structures**, and **protective works** such as retaining walls, gabion structures, and slope stabilization where required. Road safety features like signage, markings, and barriers are also incorporated to enhance user safety.
