This project involves the improvement of the roadway connecting Jhagaru Chok, Beli Bajar, Sahodwa, Shiripur, Katani, Murtiya, Hudai, and Hariwanko Chini Mill Gate in Sarlahi District. The project aims to enhance road usability, ensure safe and all-weather connectivity, and support local transportation and trade. The works include earthwork for road formation, embankment construction, excavation, filling, leveling, and compaction to achieve the designed road profile. Pavement improvement is carried out through placement of granular sub-base and base layers, gravelling, and surface finishing to provide a durable and stable roadway. In addition, drainage and cross-drainage structures such as side drains and culverts are constructed to manage runoff and prevent erosion or waterlogging.
Protective and structural works, including retaining walls, breast walls, and slope stabilization, are implemented along vulnerable sections, while road safety features like signage, markings, and minor barriers are incorporated to ensure safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians. Overall, the project seeks to improve connectivity, reduce travel time, enhance road safety, and promote socio-economic development in the Sarlahi region.
